Presbyopia
Presbyopia is a common age-related visual complication. Often termed as ‘ageing eye condition’, presbyopia occurs mostly after the age of 40 and results in difficulty seeing objects at a near distance. The condition has a significant effect on the quality of vision and quality of life as it affects daily routine tasks such as reading and work requiring close focus. Timely diagnosis and optical corrections are necessary to meet the near-vision demands of the patient.
Diabetic Retinopathy
Diabetic Retinopathy is one of the most common complications of long-term diabetes and a leading cause of blindness worldwide. In Diabetic Retinopathy, small blood vessels supplying the retina are either directly damaged or remodelled, which results in leakage of fluid, proteins, and other debris into the retina and may result in permanent vision loss if left untreated.
Blepharitis
Blepharitis is a common eye condition in which there is inflammation of the eyelids, sometimes affecting both the upper and lower eyelid margins. It can turn out to be uncomfortable, as it causes irritation and itchiness of the eyelids and sometimes dandruff-like flakes may be present over the patient’s eyelashes.
