NHS Optical Vouchers
Who is eligible for an NHS Optical Voucher?
You may qualify for an NHS Optical Voucher if you:
• Receive certain income-related benefits
• Hold a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
• Have an HC2 or HC3 certificate
• Are under 16 (or under 19 and in full-time education)
• Meet specific NHS eligibility criteria
Eligibility is assessed individually. To understand whether a resident or patient qualifies, please visit Home Eye Test Eligibility.
How NHS Optical Vouchers work
f a patient qualifies, the NHS provides a voucher with a fixed monetary value. This amount contributes towards the cost of glasses or contact lenses. If frames or lenses exceed the voucher value, the patient may choose to pay the difference.
Our team will explain all options clearly before any order is placed.
Glasses Supply & Home Delivery
Where glasses are required, we provide a full supply and fitting service. NHS vouchers can be applied towards eligible frames and lenses supplied during Glasses Supply & Home Delivery.
Important Information
NHS Optical Voucher values are set nationally and may vary depending on prescription type. We will confirm eligibility and voucher value at the time of the eye examination. If you are unsure whether you qualify, or would like to arrange an appointment, please contact our team.
